In August, we hiked more than ten kilometers through Cangshan Mountain in Dali.


We crossed pine forests and muddy trails, picked wild mushrooms, and eventually reached a heart-shaped lake surrounded by endless meadows.


Then came the sheep, casually wandering past us in little groups.


At over 3,000 meters, we were exhausted and breathless while they moved with effortless ease. These little creatures felt like the quiet, resilient masters of the mountains.

Empty Cones is an original Taiwanese sock brand featuring unique patterns.

Founded by the design duo RF and Ann, both with a background in textile design, 

they use socks as their canvas to illustrate the travel landscapes and little stories they encounter.


Their way of traveling is aimless—so long as there’s a street, they’ll wander down it.
They pass through all kinds of places, collecting details worth remembering.
How many times will the photos they take be revisited and looked at again?

Their intention is simple: to use socks as a medium to depict those fleeting sceneries that fade away in the flow of experience.
