Whenever I take a walk in Inokashira Park, I love watching the ducks gliding leisurely across the lake, which always brings me a sense of calm.

In a afternoon, I saw the ducks startled by visitors and taking off in flocks toward the distance.

At that moment, memories of the ginger duck hot pot restaurant at the corner of my neighborhood in Taipei suddenly overlapped with the scene.

“Hurry and fly away, or you’ll made into a ginger duck hot pot!”—such a silly thought arose in my mind.
