In a museum in Buenos Aires,

there was a section displaying ancient artifacts from northwestern Argentina that made me stop in my tracks.


Various motifs were carved into the surfaces of the objects—some looked like animals, and some even looked like aliens.


Standing in front of those artifacts, I couldn’t help but wonder what they had seen back then that led them to leave behind these symbols.
